Follow Friday #13

This is a meme hosted every Friday by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, where book bloggers answer a question each week and check out how others answered it. It's a cool way for bloggers and viewers to connect and learn more about each other!

If you can't follow via GFC, then please follow via NetworkedBlogs or e-mail! :)

Please state in the post if you're a new follower or old follower. If you don't tell me that you are following, then I don't know that you are. Therefore, I'll not follow you back. I would like to follow each and every one of you back, so it is important that you clearly state that you are following me and not just stopping by. When someone says, "just saying hi!" or "just hopping through!" then I have no idea if you are following or not. That means that I may or may not return the visit, depending on how much time I have. The people who state they are following me will definitely get a visit and follow back. Also be sure to leave a link back to your blog, otherwise I won't know where to go to follow you! Thank you.

Q: Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?

Well, first of all, I'd like to get more than a week for a break *grumbles at UNC*. Other than that, I'd go to a beach... probably the Outer Banks because it's so peaceful. I caught up on quite a bit of reading while I was there, and it's my favorite vacation spot that I've been to so far. If I went to Paris or Hawaii or something, there'd be so much that I'd want to do that I'd get no reading or relaxing done.

What about you guys?

  2. Hopping through. I probably wouldn't read in Paris or Hawaii either, but I'd really love to go.

  6. New follower!

The beach is the ultimate place for reading, but I do want to go to a warm country. The beach over here isn't so much fun most of the time.

  8. Absolutely agree - With most places I would be way too busy to actually read something. :D

  9. I'd love to go to the beach too! Paris would be awesome - I've been there a couple times, but yea - we were doing a lot of sight-seeing, as they were only 2 or 3-day trips. I might stay a little longer next time if I go again - reading in the park next to the Eiffel Tower would be amazing. Hope you get a nice longer summer break from school! :D

  10. I would love to go to Paris! Beaches aren't really my thing because I'm so freaking pale that I just burn, but I do like to visit in the evening haha.

  11. Oh, I've been in Paris and it's a lovely city! Hawaii is too far away... Maybe, if I'm rich in the future or something LOL This year I'll try going to the beach to read, too, but I think it'll be too crowded for my liking!

  12. I agree with you about vacations in cities like Paris--not exactly where I go to sit and read. But a beach? Yes, of course. I suppose it's why there's a book genre called "beach reads.
